FISHING.
With its usual enterprise, the Feilding and District Acclimatisation Society is securing 30,000 brown trout fry and 20,000 rainbow trout fry from Hawera to be released in the streams in this district. The number of fishing licenses issued this season is in excess of last year's issue. Already somo good fishing is, recorded. One fisher hauled 20 good ones from the Oroua river, and the prospects in the Rangitikei are considered to be specially good.
