AUCKLAND STOCK SALES

Tβ N.Z.L. and M.A. Co. report: At the West-field Yards on Wednesday fat cattle came forward in full numbers. The quality was not up to last week, and no extra heavy-weights were yarded. Prime oxen made up to 37b 6d per 1001b, others 34s to 36s per 1001b; cowe and heifers, 30s to 35s per 1001b. Steers Bold at from £9 10s to £15 10s; cows and heifers., £4 to £12. A draft of 30 steers from the dcahukura Estate averaged £14 17s, and 80 cows from the same estate averaged £9 18s. Many other consignments averaged over £13. A 7 eal calves came forward in large numbers, and sold at late rates. Heavy vealers made from £3 19s to £4 13s, medium weights £2 10s to £3 Is, lighter sorts £2 to £2 9s, smaller 20s to 38s, small and freshly dropped 3s to 18s. Sheep came forward in very large numbers; Well fa tied sold at last week's rates, and inferiorly fatted were a little easier.' Best woolly wethers made from -28s to 32s 9d, others 24s to 27s 9d,Bhorn wethers 21s to 26s 3d, woolly ewes 20s 9d to 26s 9d, shorn ewes 18s 6d to 28s. A draft of 100 wethers fr.om Mr A. Main, Tamahere, averaged £1 12s 3d. Hoggets made from 17s 6d to 22s 6d. Spring lambs Bold 'at from £1 to £1 3s 6d. There was a good supply of pigs, which sold well. Large baconers made from £4 to £5 6s, baconers £3 to £3 18s, large porkers £2 8s to £2 19s, porkers £1 10~s to £2 ss, slips 20s to 28s, good weaners 18s to 22s 9d, others 2s 6d to 83. At the Waipona sale yards onAVednesday there was a good clearance at the following rates: F.M. ewes, with lamba 16s 7d to 17s 6d, woolly hoggets 14s 9d, cull roggets 10s lid, fat ewes 20s 4d to 255, forward ewes 16s 2d, store ewes 10s 3d to 13s Bd, 2tooth wethers (small) 14s Id; pigs— weanera 11s to 17s 6d, slips 21s, small porkers 245; fat cows £5 17s 6d to £6 15s, fat heifers £5 5s to £6 12s, i forward cows £4 12s to £4 16s, store cows £2 5s to £3 3s, 2-year steers £6 ' Is, 18-months' steers and heifers £3 4b, yearling steers and heifers £2 10s , 6d ? yearling heifers 32s to 41s, 2-year heifers £4 2s, springing cows £4 12s to £7 15s.
