NEW CLASSES ADDED

In spite of the war, the General Committee of the Feilding A. and I . Asosciation has decided to go right ahead with the plans for the Show to be held in February next. Last night's meeting fixed the amount of prize money and decided to add fancy work to the schedule. Several handsome donations were reported. Tho members present at the meeting were Messrs J. H. Perrett (Presidont), W. H. Brewster, F. Boddy, F Y. Lethbridge, Hugh Burrell, J. G. Cobbe, A. M. Ongley, F. F. Haggitt. D. L. Younger, C. Evans, N. Doug las, A. Campbell, H. J. Booth, O. McElroy, D. Twigg, W. S. Penny, C. G. C. Dernier, J. AV..Bramwcll, Jos. Corpe, Jas. Knight, Eglington, ~W. H. Fry, N. Gorton, and A. Banks. Several apologies were received. CORRESPONDENCE. ill dealing with,the correspondence, the Committee decided that permission could not be given to the Linton school to enter the School Garden Competition this year, but consideration would be given to tho question of boundaries next year. I The Association's subscription to the N.Z. Council of Agriculture—£4— was passed for payment. A sub-committee comprising tho President and Messrs Booth, Burrell, Short, and Knight was asked to suggest judges for the Dominion official list.

The Committee found it impossible to make a donation, as requested, to the Oroua Licensed Victuallers' Association. THE COMING SHOW. Speaking of tho coming Hhow, the President said the Association would have tho support of the Ham Fair, which would or ing not only a bigger attendance, but more entries. He knew the committee would need to be prudent, but as President he, would like to see the prize money on much tho same • plane as last year. I After discussion, the Committee came to the conclusion that economies could be effected in several directions without seriously reducing tho total amount of prize money oifered. Counting tho trophies, exhibitors will have practically similar inducements to those oir-;rcd at tho Show of February last A suggei. on to add to the schedule a class I'd milking Shorthorns was referred tc. the Cattle Schedule Committee. Arrangements wore made for the Schedule Couinaitteos to meet on Saturday, 10th inst., to draft the schedule. A committee comprising Messrs Burrell, Knight, Bramwell, McElroy, and Boddy was authorised to allot the prize money to the various sections. Acting upon the recommendation of tho Sheep Schedule Committee, tho General Committee decided against holding a sale of Show stock after the Show.

It was decided to add fancy work to the schedule. Tho Executive Committee reported that arrangements had been made: with Mr Stacey for the catering at the Show. It was hoped that by the new agreement the Committee would make a considerable saving. DONATIONS, &c. The Highden Estate donated a bullock for tho weight-guessing competition. Mr Jas. Campion donated .Co Gs, Mr Chas. Bull £2 2s, and Mr W. E. L. Banks £2 2s. Messrs J. McOutcheon and L. F. Pearce were elected members of the Association.
