FEILDING HIGH SCHOOL.
The pupils of the secondary deHigh School celebrated last weeks examination with a half-holiday yeßterday, the boys-indulging in a paper chase and the girls having a tennis afternoon. At o'clock the girls entertained the boys at afternoon tea, Miss Wyatt, Messrs' Richardson, Bailey, Matthews, Banner, Bull, and Fred. Pirani also being guests. After a most refreshing spread, Mr Pirani thanked the pupils for their thoughtful invitation, and pointed out the necessity for attending regularly to keep up the status of the senool. Next year, parents of pupila would be asked to enter into an engagement to keep their children at leaet a full year at the school. Owing to the increased attendance, a third assistant would shortly be added to the school staff. Mr Pirani concluded by congratulating the pupils on. their general good conduct and the high opinion expressed of them by their instructors. Cheers were given for the King, the Education Board, and its chairman.
