OIiOUA COUNTY COUNCIL. SPECIAL ORDER RAISING SPECIAL LOAN. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a Special Meeting of the OroTia County Council held on TUESDAY, MARCH 17, 1914, the following Resolution was adopted:— In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that"Behalf by "The Counties Act, 1908," "The Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1909," and "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913," the Oroua 'County Council hereby resolves as follows :— That for the purpose of providing the interest and othei charges on a loan of £1294 18s 5d authorised to be raised by the Oroua County Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of providing the Council's contributions towards the expenditure of the Palmerston North Hospital and Charitable Aid Board during the financial year 1913-1914 in respect of the works and in accordance with the certificates of the said Board that the said contributions are required for the purposes mentioned, namely:— £ s. d. Hospital Buildings and Extensions... 594 3 10 Old People's Homes 374 13 11 Supplementary Estimate 326 0 8 £1294 18 5 the said Oroua County Council hereby makes and levies a Special Rate of one one-hundred-and-fifteenth of a penny (1.115 d) in the pound upon the Rateable Value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the County of Oroua, comprising the whole of the County of Oroua and that such Special Rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the Ist day of APRIL in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 13 years or until the loan is fully paid off.

It is hereby hirther notified that a SPECIAL MEETING of the Council will be held in the Council Chambers, Manchester Street, FEILDing, on FRIDAY, APRIL 17, 1914, at 2 p.m., to confirm the above Resolution. (4) That the. security for such Special Loan be a special annual recurring rate of l-115th of a penny in the £ upan the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the County of Oroua, comprising the whole 'of the said County, and that such rate be payable yearly on the Ist day of April in each year during the currenoy of such Loan.
