OROUA IN FLOOD.

Though tho Oroua river yesterday morning was very low, by the afternoon ,h c wafers spread from bank to bank. Heavy rains must havo fallen at the head of the river, for there Ims not been sufficient on the flat country to make such a difference. The flood waters yesterday were almost as thick as treacle. The river is subsiding to-day.. Last night the Pohangina was reported to be higher than for 20 years past.
