Professor Bickerton, of Christchurch is to give lecture on "The place of Women ;n History" on February 25, under the auspices of the Australian and New Zealand Women Voters' Association. Miss Mar. garet Hodge will tak c the chair. The final game in the Palmerston announces the marriage on October 14, 1913, at Holy Trinity Church, Kingsway, London, by the Rev. L. J. Evans, M.A., of Robert Sefton, only son of Dr and Mrs Harry Adams, of New Zealand, and grandson of the late Wm, Sefton Moorhouse, of New Zealand, to Mary Stanley, daughter of tho late W. A. Carpenter, of Southsea, England. Mr Will Hutcliens, of Hawera, arrived a few days ago, and leaves again on. tho -20th by the Reniuera..
