COMPENSATION CLAIM FOR 2s. BPXOIAL TO BTDNET BUN. London, March 16. A fountain pen was regarded as the carrying agent <_f scarlet fever to a ho\ise in Hindon, London and the authorities ordered that it should be destroyed. The householder claimed 2s compensation, notwithstanding that his family had had free treatment at the hospital, and tho council paid the demand.
