CHELTENHAM'S ANNUAL MEETING.

Despite weather conditions, the annual meeting of the Cheltenham Cricket Club was held in the Cheltenham Public Hall last evening, and there was a fair attendance of members. Mr J. Bruce, president of the Club, occupied the chair, and the report and balance sheet was adopted. The following officers were elected: Patron, Mr D. H. Guthrie, M.P.; President, Mr J. Bruce; Vice-Presi-dents: Messrs Hy. Burrell, C. A. J. Levett, Jas. Barrow, 0. E. Johnston, YV. Tappin senr., W. F. Jacob, A. Conway, E. Short, C. Dermer, F. Eli.s, and J. Hunt. senr. Mr J. C. Hare, Captain; M.. 6. C. Hare, Vice.Captain; Mr H. R. Fisher, Secretary and Treasurer. Ground Committee: Messrs A. Barrow, J. Knyvett, J. Hunt, junr., J. C. Hare, B. Bruce, V. Barrow, and H. R. Fisher; Delegates to Assocatiqn, Messrs G. C. Hare and H. R. Fisher; Auditor, Mr C. E. Johnston. A motion of regret was passed at losing Mr J. Murray, and it was decided to write and thank him for services rendered. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded Mr J. Bruce for the use of his grounds, and for the interest he had taken in connection with the game. Mr J. 0. Hare was thanked for the use of his horses, and for allowing his man to roll the ground. A vote of thanks was accorded the President and Vice.-Presidents for financial- assistance. Votes of thanks were xmssed to the Secretary, Auditor, and the ladies for providing afternoon tea. After the usual vote to the Chairman for presiding, the meeting terminated, with the hope that the weather would soon take up so that practice could be commenced. The batting average was won by Mr J. C. Hare, 21.i1; and the howling average by Mr D. Greer, average runs per wicket, 3.20, Mr A. Greer being next with 3.58.
