BOROUGH POLL CARRIED.
The poll of the ratepayers taken yesterday on a proposal to borrow £3500 for extension of water mains, tarring and sanding footpaths, and formation work, was carried by 112 votes to 99 with 4 informal. As there are over 900 voters on the ratepayers' roll, the figures indicate that very little interest was takei. in the question.
