THE SKATING CARNIVAL.
The Skating Carnival which is to be held at ithe Rink next Wednesday, gives promise of being a great success. The floor is in excellent condition. About 50 couples were present last evening, no doubt with tho objedt of gaining that, graceful proficiency which may win them a prize at the competitions. A practice of the Grand March is being held ito-night and Monday evening with good band in attendance. A full display of all the trophies to be presented on Wednesday next can be seen in Carthew's window.
