THE KING'S BIRTHDAY.

Colonel E. W. C. Chaytor, commanding Wellington military district, has issued- the following District Order regarding the celebration of the -King's- Birthday: (1) The troops—staff, permanent force, territorials, and senior cadets—at all local centres in the Wellington "district will parade on June 3 in honour of the birthday of his Majesty the King. (2) The troops in the Wellington (No. 5) area group will be reviewed by the Governor at Newtown Park and a royal salute of 21 guns will be I fired. (3) The troops at Palmerston, ' Wanganui, New Plymouth, Napier, "Hastings, Gisborne, and Masterton will be reviewed at 12 noon by the senior officer present at each place, and company centres will parade un(4) The troops at all other squadron and company centres will parade under the senior local officer, and where there are not sufficient troops to hold a review will co-operate with any celebrations conducted by the civil authorities.
