During the progress of a fair at' Bando, in Galicia, near the frontier, thirty Portuguese exiles were wounded in a conflict with the Spanish residents, a number of whom were injured. The inhabitants attacked the resiliences of Portuguese Royalists, compelling the occupants to quit the town. Madrid, May 16. ■ Acting on tbe information of Hamburg. Socialists, the authorities at Corunna seized twenty-one bales, alleged to contain German paper, addressed to a Catholic resident. . The bales were found to contain 200 rifles and 2668 packets of cartridges, intended for Portugtiese monarchists.
