PRICE'S PICTURES TO-NIGHT.
One of the brightest and best programmes ever given in Feilding was the verdict of the large crowd that last night witnessed Price's Permanent Pictures in the Drill Hall last night. Particularly enthusiastic were the receptions given to the exciting records of the great canoe races on the Mekong and a further adventure of Lieut. Hose and his marines, the destruction of the stronghold of the pirates being well reproduced. The Pathe Gazette, which included a picture of the arrival of Dr. Crippen at Home and , other recent events, was also received with hearty _ approval. The comic element was a minus quantity, but the two films screened. were good. A bird-capturing expedition was a remarkable achievement in photography, and the dramatic studies, American and .trench, were cleverly acted and reproduced. The programme, which is to be given again this evening, is well worth seeing. Next Saturday night a long film-con-taining a record of a run up the Wanganui Riveras to be screened.
