Prices at the London wool sales included the following: Elderslie, top price 21$ d, average 20£ d; Tauro, 13d and Hid; Tamu, 12i<l and lid; Otaire, lid and 9|d; Teremeira, 11-Jd and IOJd. The N.Z.L. and M.A. Co. are in receipt of the following cable advice from their London house: "Aβ compared with last sale closing rates, prices are about 5 per cent, lower for greasy merino inferior, scoured nie■riiio; about the same for lambs, greasy merino super, coarse greasy crossbred, crossbred slipe, and fine scoured crossbred; about par to 5 per cent, lower for greasy merino medium, coarse scoured crossbred, medium greasy crossbred., medium scou red crossbred, and fine greasy crossbred. Market is generally bettor for wool. There is an.increasing demand •from American operators."
