During a drunken brawl at Wallan five navvies pulled another out of his tent and killed him, battering his head to pulp. Ada : Stansfield and Vera Morriner, while bathing at Mounts' Bay, got out of their depth and both were drowned. A STOLEN BLACK BOY. Perth, January 30. The District Magistrate at Karachi (India) has forwarded a statement alleging that an Indian four years ago stole a black boy from Port Hedland, who now is in India as a working slave. The statement alleges- that the Indian's brother beat the boy's mother, and hunted her away while he led the boy to a ship. FATAL RAILWAY ACCIDENT. Adelaide, January 30. Eutrther particulars of the tragedy near Narrandera (reported on page 4) show that both Mrs Warby and her daMghter Amy were shot dead. The mother was the proprietor of the Billenbah station. Two boys named Clare, aged 16, and Miller, aged 17, who worked on the station, have been arrested on the charge of murder.. Mrs Warby was emerging from an outhouse; when she was shot in the head and died shortly afterwards. Her daughter rushed out and was confronted by a boy with a pea-rifle. She turned to run and was shot twice in. the head, being killed instantly. .It is alleged that the boys intended to stealthe avadable money and then burn the house and bodies, in order to hide the crime. ....;-.-.
