(Received January 30, 9.35 a.m.) Sydney, January 30. Victoria scored 194 in the match for the Sheffield shield against N.S.W. Armstrong 41, Kortlang 41 ; Matthews (not out) 30 were the chief scorers. Layer did not bat, being unwell. Horden seaiired seven wickets for 55, Cotter two for 42.
New South Wales scored 337 in their first innings, and has lost no wickets for 27.
