For some time past tennis players .and the enthusiasts of the srwrt have been anxiously enqiiiring as to where the Davis Cup Avould be played in New Zealand, and many wero of opinion that Christchurch would bo the favoured spot. jNews Avas received on Thursday by cable from Sydney that Wellington has been, selected by the Australasian Association for tho Davis_ Cup Management Committee, Avhieh is located in Sydney.
