'""■ '& Ie School anniversary was celebrated" when Mr Boon, of New PlymoutJi7 conducted the services. Both, the morning and the evening congregations were large. The rendering of tlie anthems "0 Lord God Almighty" and "Seek Ye the Lord," by the'choir was -much appreciated. The school prizes were distributed (luring the afternoon as follows:—. First-class.—Dorothy Gill. Jennie Duncan. Lily Guy. Flossie Watson, iOrace Watson, lluth Heldt, Mew a Oken, Alice Osborne, Willie Duncan, Cecil Guy. Leonard Guy, Leonard Gill, Willie Field. Second-class.—Eva- Heldt, Evelyn O-bome, Agnes Field, Linda Guy, Willie Osborne, Hector Gill, Ray Osborne. Third-class.—Grace James, Nellie Guy. Evelyn Nc-lmes, Emily McDermott. David McKay, Maurice Osborne, Edward Nelmes. Melvile Thorns. The tea meeting on Tuesday also proved a great success, tlie takings at the door constituting a record. An enjoyable entertainment followed, consisting of solos, anthems, quartettes, duels, recitations and addresses. In his report, the Superintendent (Mr N. Gill) mentioned that, owing (o other Sunday Schools being started in the township, there had been ;i considerable decrease in the roll number. Although this meant a. loss to them, he was pleased that the other churches were carrying on this important work. It was intended in the coming year to inaugurate a Band of Hope, which would "also include pledges of abstinence, from smoking and gambling. In order to provide suitable literature for the children during the winter months a move would he made to resuscitate the Sunday School Library.

An unfortunate accident havmened to Mary Cowan on Friday last. She was riding to school when her horse stumbled. The fall fractured her collarbone.
