WELL DONE!
HOW A BOY SCOUT PLAYED THE GAME.
A FEILDING EPISODE.
Doing a good turn, or succouring those in distress, especially women -and children, is one of the duties that the Boy Scout is pledged to perform. An. instance of how this was done came under our notice yesterday. A little Maori boy left in charge of a horse and trap outside a--. Feilding shop was being annoyed hy a number of children who will know better some day. They were bigger than the little Maori. A lady who was passing took in the situation. Meeting a boy coining along the street, she said to him: "You are a Scout, aren't you?" "Yes, madam," he replied. "Well, stop those children (from annoying the little Maori boy, wili you?" The Scout 6aluted, and in another instant, without the exercise of any physical force and with but few words, the urchins w&re scattered to the winds and the little Maori left m grateful peace.
