The Feilding Star. Oroua and Kiwitea Counties' Gazette. TUESDAY, MARCH 8, 1910. The Minister's Visit.

Perfect weather prevails to-day for the first visit to this district of the Minister of Railways, the Holi. J. A. Millar. The party got away at an early hour this morning for the motor-car tour through the countryside, and according to advices along the way the party is having a good time, with a- gathering of settlers greeting them at all the townships. The tourists are expected to reach town again at 6 o'clock, and Mr Millar will then be entertained at dinner by the Chamber of Commerce. There are only three toasts on the list for the after-dinner speeches, and it is expected, that the Minister, in replying to the toast of his health, will says something about railways generally and the much-discussed time-table particularly. After the banquet, Mr Millar will receive various deputations about Feikling's interests. To-morrow morning our distinguished visitor will see some more of our country from a motorcar, he will visit the Mayo orchard and the McFarland dairy, and afterwards take his departure by the noon trunk train for Wellington. We are sure that by that time, if not all the time, -Mr Millar will have thoroughly enjoyed his visit to this important district.
