FRIDAY'S FIREWORKS DISPLAY.

Ihe management has engaged the Feildmg Brass Band to supply tho music for Friday evening next, when the Miramar Fire° works Display Company, of Welluxigton, will give a unique and novel form of entertainment, one of their celebrated pyrotechnical exhibitions. The display, which will be gives, on. the Feilding racecourse, will be on a most elaborate scale. Many beautiful set pieces are included in the programme, chief amongst them being a splendid representation of 3 waterfall, while another effective set is that representing a butterfly, which when alight is. seen to move its wings. A revolving "diamond chromatrope, and a dazzling fountain are two excellent set pieces, and another very popular item is the battle scene between, forts and battleships, with air-ships to the rescue. There are several more sete of unique design, and the effect is greatly enhanced by the introduction of some ingenious mechanical novelties. An item which is described as sensational is the fire-club swing act of lUamos, who produces circles of flame ot extraordinary dimensions. Further variety is added by the introduction of a set of humorous moving picturee. The company has given many fine exhibitions at that popular resort of the city, Wonderland. A dramatic and sensational programme is provided for Friday's carnival of the air.
