Yesterday's Main Trunk train from Wellington was over an hour late, and as a consequence the Hon. J. A. Millar, Minister of Railways did not reach Feilding till 5.30. He was met of the railway station by Mr D. H. Guthrie, M.P., Mr F. Y. Leth■bridge, ex M.P., Mr Mostyn Jones, Vice-President of • the Chamber of Commerce, Mr W. J. B. Trewin, Mayor, members of the Chamber of Commerce, the Borough Council, and other proinenX citizens. The minister was accompanied by bis private Secretary, Mr Thomson. Mr Ernest Short took the minister and others in Iris motor car, and Mr Cobbe had arranged for cabs to take others to his residence, "The Hill," where Mrs Cobbe had set out a most tempting afternoon tea, under the cool and shady branches of an elm tree. The Minister and the other guests did ample justice to a delicious spread. Mr Mostyn Jones extended the thanks of the Chamber to Mrs Cobbe for the generous hospitality, saying he did not think the spot could he equalled anywhere in Feil3ing. Cheers were given for Mrs Cofcoe. Mr Cob~be replied, saying it was a pleasure to have the Minister and the members of the Chamber at their residence.
