Cudahy, a millionaire meat packer, of Chicago, made an attack upon Mr J. Lillis, a wealthy banker, whom he suspected of intriguing with his wife. The packer inflicted a number of criss-cross cuts with a knife on the banker, after binding the latter with a strong rope. Mr Cudahy, who was arrested, was allowed bail.
