Weber, the popular German satirist, was married in London recently to the widow of Major yon Schoenbeck. who was -shot by Captain yon Goeben at the military barracks at Allenstern, Prussia, in 190 S.
Goeben confessed tliat he committed the crime in a frenzy of love for Madame Schoonbeck. and then committed suicide.
Madame Schoenbeck was arrested as an accomplice, but the trial was not proceeded with owing to differences of opinion among medical experts as to her mental condition.
She has now been arrested in Berlin for inciting and participating in the murder.
The trial is arousing profound interest in Germany.
