In the Sackvillc barony case, the claimant (Mr Sackville) informed Mr Justice Bingham, that, since he was not allowed to fetch evidence .from Spain to prove that Don Oliva was a bachelor, ho must withdraw his petition, although it broka hie heart to do so. Mr Finlay, for the defence, replied on the whole case, and produced a copy of a certificate showing claimant's mother's..marriage in 1851 with Don- Oliva. The copy was stamped. The certificate, which was stamped and dated 1854. was found among the woman's papers. It , is alleged that H accorded with the church register botore the latter was tampered with, about 1900.
