The prisons report shows that the prison population at the end of last year was 1430, compared with 1500 at the end of the previous ,y_ear. A MURDERER HANGED. Melbourne, February 10. Robustelli, an Italian, was hanged for- the murder of a compatriot, named Persatti, at Coolgardie on October 19. Death was instantaneous.
