[PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] (Received February 10, 8.30 a.m.) London, February 9. v lolet Charlesworth, who was charged with defrauding Martha Smith of £600 and Dr. Edward Jones ot large- sums of money under the assumed name of Cameron, has been remanded at the Old Bailey
Violet Charles worth, and her mother, being unable to find bail, have been imprisoned at Derby for alleged frauds committed in 1903 and 1908. [In the recent bankruptcy proceedings, Miss Charlesworth alleged that she had great expectations from several gentlemen, including £155,000 from Alexander M'Donald, who was last heard of in Melbourne. The Official Receiver suggested that these gentlemen were mythical.]
