OPERATIC SOCIETY.
ANNUAL MEETING.
lhe annual meeting of the Operatic Society was held last night, with Dγ Vhlhs (President) in the chair, and 30 members present. The balance-sheet showed that there was a bank overdraft of £19 Gs lid. The election of officers resulted as follows: —
President, Dv Willis; Vice-Presi-dents, Messrs E. O. Mackay and 0. N. Gillespie: Treasurer, Mr A. H. Maguire; Conductor, Mr J. T. Woodmass; auditor', Mr liugh Roberts; Committee, Mesdames Walker and Sherwill, Misses Maclean, Messrs W H. McLean, J. M. piarke, J : : F. Maccdo, and H. iloberts. Eleven new members were elected. -Qn the motion of Messrs Maguire fM Moore, it was decided to stage 'The Pirates of Tenzance," if arrangements could bo made. It was also decided to stage -The schoolmistress" in May. The President was asked to arrange tor the hire of the Masonic Hall room:for rehearsals.
