SCULLING.
THE FOXTON HANDICAP. Yesterday the first heats of the Interstate Sculling Handicap were decided on the Long Reach of the Manawatu River at Foxton. There was fine weather, and good racing, but the attendance of the public was not large. The results were as follows:— First heat: S. Kemp (24sec) 1., T. Lawson (60) 2. Other starters: J. Mitchell (14), A. S. Green (30), W. T. Ogilvie (55). Second heat: A. G. Felton (24) 1, R. Green (35) 2. Other starters: W. Webb (scr), F. G. Green (35). Third heat: E. Larsen (20) 1, S. Hagney (10) 2. Other starters; Te R-awhiti (30), J. Ellis (45).
