THK SCIiOOOL PICNIC. The Aratika School picnic was held last Thursday on Me>*rs Wealicaus Bros." lawn, kindly lent for the occasion. Ahoiil one hundred and lii'ty people, including vi.sil.or-> Innii all parts, were proent and a most enjoyable day was spent. Great praise, is due to Mis--. Clapham (teacher) and to Messrs A Gray. J. Ilitchman and (J. Allerby. sen., who worked hard to make the picnic >uch a success. During the afternoon Mr A. Gray, chairman of the Committee, presented prizes to the following: Standard V.. Harold Gray, Albert Whittaker. Bessie Gra v ; standard IV.. Lesli.. Allerby: standard ITT. Unh. Allerby. Doris Gray: .standard H., Avy Allerby; standard 1.. James Hitchie, Maggie Ilitchman. Nellie Gray; primer. George Tlitchman. Jack H.itohinan. Tilly Allerby. Rachel Harnaby. A special prize and first-class certificate was awarded to Ivy Allerby for having made full attendances, and second-class certificates were ■.•ained l.v Leslie Allerbv and Bessie Gray. " '
