KIMBOLTON FLOWER SHOW.

j SUCCESSFUL EXHIBITION."BETTER THAN FEILDING." It seemed to occur to tho good people of Kimbolton, at their* annual horticultural exhibition last night, that the hest thing they could say or thenshow was that it was "better than Feilding." They mado a concession as far as pot plants were concerned, but regarding vegetables, cut flowers, home industries, etc., they claimed the pre-eminence. And there was no denying the statement. The outstanding feature of tho show was, of course, the vegetable section, for which the Kimbolton district has a reputation, and in all the other classes there was good competition. The decorative classes were a keen battleground. In the table and mantel decorations the Kimbolton people excelled themselves, the work put into the entries being distinctly good. One of the judges remarked that whereas in tho town show the decorations were bunched up too much, m the country show they expanded, like tho country itself, and were full ot artistic taste. The school section was well supported with good samples. A special prize offered to the exhibitor makincr the most entries was won by Mrs Co"cks, with 46 ; Mrs J. Richardson being second with 42. Points prizes wero won as follows: Cut flowers, Mrs J. Richardson ; bouquets, decorations, etc., Mrs J. Richardson; fruit, J. Murray; vegetables, H. M. Brown; general, Mrs G. Richardson; industrial. Miss Edney. . All the officials did good work m their various departments, and we are asked to mention particularly Mesdames Crabb, Bauer, J.
