PENALTIES: FLAT RACES.— The winner of any fiat race exceeding 30 bovb. in value after declaration of weights to carry a penalty of 101 b, and of every additional r&ce a further penalty of 61b. Horses handicapped at Bst 101 bor over to carry only half the above penalties. HURDLE RACES— The winner oi any hurdle race after declaration oi weights to carry a penalty of 101 bin the hurdle races, and for every additional race 71b extra. NOMINATIONS for all races, except Maiden Scurry, close on MONDAY, loth March, at 8.30 p.m. WEIGHTS for first day'B races will be declared on or about Monday, 29th March. For second days' races will be declared on the night of the first day's races at about 8 p.m. ACCEPTANCES for first day's races and Entries for MAIDEN SCURRY close on SATURDAY, 3rd April, 1909, at 8.30 p.m. ¥oi second day's races will close on the night of the first day's races at 9 p.m. with the Secretary at his office, ■teilding. RULES AND REGULATIONS. 1. All entries must bo ad. tressed to the Secretary, Feilding Jockey Club, Feilding, entrance money enclosed, with the name, age at time of entry, . names of owner and trainer, pedigree, colours of the rider, and in case of ! Handicaps where horses have not previously started on the Feilding \ Course, performances of the horse. : Entrance moneys to go to the funds of the Club. I 2. Entries by telegrams must give full particulars of the horse and mußt , be confirmed in writing at the earliest possible opportunity, otherwise a ] fine of 1 soy. will be imposed. | 3. Owners are responsible for all ' penalties and allowances. ; 4. All persons intending to withdraw horses are required to give noj tic© to that effect to the Secretary ! one half-hour before the official time \ for starting the race. Any person neglecting or refusing to comply with this shall pay a fine ,to be imposed by the Stewards, not exoeeding SO bovb. to the Race Fund. | 5. All races to be run under thf> N.Z. Rules of Raoing, as adopted by the Raoing Conference of N.Z. i 6. Prior to any race the Stewards may order a parade in front of the ' stand. Any horse absent from such parade at the time notified in the programme, without the permission of the Stewards, will be fined 2 sots. ! 7.
