JJalgety and Co. report that at the I'Vihliii"; saleyards yesterday there ■was ;i small entry of sheep and a i good entry of cattle. Owing to the dry weather sheep were hard to quit. The following are the principal sales: 6-tooth to 4-year ewes 9s 9d to" 10s Id, 1 woolly lamb's 9s 7d, S.D. rams £5, Kmnney rams 10s to 21s. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. report: We had a heavy yarding of sheep and a email yarding of cattle. Sheep were easier all round and buyers were not keen to operate. We, however, placed the bulk of our entries, vendors in most cases being inclined to accept the lower rates. We quoto. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Feilding sale held -esterday, as follows: We had a good yarding of sheep but a medium one of cattle. There was a good attendance, but owing to the continued dry weather, prices were not so good os last week. However, we cleared the bulk of our entry. APITI STOCK SALE. The iSw Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. report: At Apiti on Tuesday about 1500 sheep came forward and nearly all found buyers either at auction or privately after the sale. Quotations: Sheep, ram lambs 6s 6d, mixed Limbs 6s, 6s 2<3, 7s lOd, Bs, cull lambs 2s lOd, 3s 9d, 4s 9d, mixed aged ewes 10s 3d, f.m. ewes Bs, 2-tooth owes 12s 6d and 13s 3d, 4-tooth ewes 13s, 2-tooth wethers 9s 6d and 10s.
