At the present time thee are 17,---704 boxes, or 442 tons of butter in store at Auckland, and of this 16,---749 boxes, or 418 tons, will be shiplied to England this week. The shipment is valued at about £42,845. The South African shipment for the fortnight totals 150 boxes. HUNTERVILLE SALE. Messrs. Abraham and Williams report on their Hunterville sale, held on the 22nd hist. : We had a good yarding of both sheep and cattle. The sheep all sold readily, but the bidding for cattle was not brisk, although most lots were disposed of at the following prices: Sheep : 2-tooth wethers, shorn, 9s 3d, 10s 9d to lls 2d; 4-tooth wethers, lls lOd; mixed 2-tooths, woolly, 14s 2d ; others, 13s Id. Cattle: 4-year bullocks, £5 18s (kl; 3-year bullocks, £4 5s to £4 7s; 2J to 3-year bullocks, £4 to £4 2s 6d ; 2-year steers, £3 to £3 2s 6d; yearling steers, £2 ss; mixed yearlings, 255; empty cows £2 2s 6d to £2 14s : ompty heifers, £3 ; 2-year heifers, £2 7s 6d ; cows and calves, £2 10s ; Hereford bull, £2 10s. HAWKE'S BAY SALES. At the fortnightly stock sale at the Waipukurau yards this week, there were very large entries of cattle, so large, in fact, that the pens would not hold them all. Prices for fat stock did not show much change, but young stores showed a slight advance. 'Fat bullocks brought up to £7 10s; fat cows, £4 to £5 10s; fat heifers, £4 to £4 7s 6d. A yood line of 2-year steers brought £2 Is. There was a very fair entry of shoep, and for stores and lambs splendid prices were obtained. Lambs brought up to 10s 7d, and store wethers lls Gd to 12s. There was a large attendance at the yards.
