[PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Dunedin, December 22. At the Police Court to-day, before Mr Kenrick, S.M , Thomaa Patrick Flynn was charged with having, on February 4, 1904, being then a married man, gone through the form of marriage with Mary Ann Pearson Skinner, and also with having, en November 3. 1908, being then married, gone tnrough the form of marriage with Isabella Grant. Chief Detective Herbert, after outlining the facto, said accused had intimated his intention of pleading guilty in the Supreme Court. Margaret Ann Flynn gave evidence as to her marriage with accused at Arrowtown on November 15, 1899. After living there for about three years, accused went to Canterbury and Dunedin. In 1904 she came to Dunedin, and after a separation of about six months, due to witness' illhealth, he lived with her. During the separation accused said he had been boarding somewhere. Owing to the way accused was coming and going, witness complained, and he admitted he had married another woman. Her marriage certificate was mislaid and she had charged accused with taking it, but he laughed at her. The evidence as to the second marriage was given by Mary Ann Pearson Skinner, who said .that about eight months after marriage accused admitted he had another wife, and she ceased to cohabitNrith him. Jane Johnston and the Rev. Wm. Hewitson also gave evidence. Regarding the third marriage, evidence was given by Isabella Grant, Henry Maxwell (Registrar), and H. W. Roberts (clerk). An application has been made to Arrowtown for a copy of the first marriage certificate, but as it had not come to hand, the accused was remanded to the 30th inst.
