NEW ZEALAND RAILWAYS. CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR HOLIDAYS. FROM 21st December to 4th January inclusive (except on 25th and 27th December and 3rd' January) extra mail trains, with dining car attached, will leave Wanganui 12.45 p.m., Feilding 3.34 p.m., for Wellington. Leave Wellington 8.20 a.m., Peilding 1.5 p.m., for Wanganui. The ordinary mail train to Palmerston will not take passengers on theae dates except for Main Trunk Line stations and on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays passengers to catch same night's southern steamer at Wellington. The ordinary up mail train to New Plymouth will not lift passengers from stations, Palmerston to Fordell inclusive, except for stations north of Kai Iwi. On 24th December extra passenger train will leave Palmerston 11.18 a.m., Feilding 11.45 a.m., for Wanganui. The extra mail train to Wanganui will not take passengers from Palmerston, Fordell and intermediate stations except to and from Main Trunk line. The 11.18 a.m. train .from Palmerston must be used bj such passengers on 24th December. On 24th and 31st December late trains will leave Wanganui 11.30 p.m., Feilding 2.50 a.m. for Wellington. Leave Wellington 11.15 p.m., Feilding 4.50 a.m., for Wanganui. On 25th December the following trains will NOT run: 9.37 a.m. Wanganui to Palmerston; 12.5 p.m. Palmerston to Wanganui. No goods or live stock traffic will be conveyed on 25th and 26th December and Ist January, and Goods Sheds will be closed on those days. On 26th December special passenger train will leave Wanganui 6.30 a.m., Marton 8.40 a.m., Feilding 9.50 a.m. for Palmerston, returning from Palmerston at 6.20 p.m. for Wanganui and Taihape. ' On 23rd and 28th December passenger train will leave Feilding at 9.15 a.m. for Palmerston. Passenger train will leave Palmerston at 6.20 p.m. for Wanganui and Xaihape. On 23rd, 26th and 28th December the usual 4.50 p.m. train, Palmerston to Wanganui, will be delayed to leave Palmerston at 5.30 p.m. for Wanganui and Taihape. FARES : Palmerston to Racecourse, 2a 6d irrespective of class, including admission to course, available for day of issue only. Single fare, Racecourse to Palmerston 9d. SPORTS AT FEILDING. On 26th December special train will leave Palmerston 9.50 a.m. for Feilding, returning from Feilding at 5.30 p.m. for Palmerston. On 29th December the usual 7.0 a.m. train from Wanganui to Palmerston, will connect at Terrace End with special from Palmerston for Ashhurst. Special train will leave Ashhurst 6.25 for Wanganui. SUNDAY TRAINS. On December 27th and January 3rd special passenger trains, stopping where required, will leave Wanganui 1.45 p.m., Marton 3.47 p.m., Feilding 4.46 p.m., for Wellington.
