BOWLING.
THE YATES FEATHERS.
On Saturday the Yates Feathers ; were won by a Palmerston rink* on the j Feilding green. The visiting rink comprised Messrs S. Dixon, H. Nash, J. Young, and: J. Nash (skip.), and the Feilding rink, who were the holders of the Feathers, comprised Messrs Irvine, Sandilands, Stewart, and Say- . well (skip.) After a good game, the visitors secured the Feathers by 26 points to 18. A Feeding rink will be got together immediately to attempt to regain the Feathers for Feilding. Several other games were played on the Feilding . green. In tlhe senior championship singles, Bartholomew defeated Haybittle, and Stewart defeated McLean. In the Junior championships, James defeated Barry. Playing in the handicap pairs, Bartholomew and Chapman beat Irvine and Gilbertson.
