HALCOMBE v. FEILDING B.

At Ealcombe on Saturday the Feilding B team suffered their third defeat. Halconibe won the toss and put the visitors in to bat, but they failed to stand against the bowling of Quarrie and Robson, only making 26. Halcombe responded with 90 runs, mainly due to the splendid batting of L. Pleasants, who made 46. In the 6econd innings Feilding fared very little better, only notching 31. Halcombe, in their second innings, had 7 wickets down for 32, batrting the tail first. Robson, Pleasants aad Kew, son., did not bat. Henderson shaped well for -16. Although Feilding lost, "A Fielder's" notes . bore fruit, their fielding was much improved,, words of praise coming forth from the spectators. If our worthy friend could instil some batting form our boys may yet win a match. They are not downhearted yet. The visitors were very hospitably entertained at afternoon tea in the local refreshment rooms, where they struck" form. FEILDING.— First innings. W. Burnett, run out ... ... 0 J.
