TO-DAY'S WOOL SALES IN WELLINGTON.

Over 7600 bales wffll be offered at the sedoucß sale of the season, to be held in Wellington to-day, as Against 6000 at the December sale last year. Good 1 prices are expected in view of the animated condition of <ihe London market, and the requirements of American buyers. The city is full of farmers and buyers in readiness for iftie sale (says the Post), and among the latter are representatives from Yorkshire, German, American, French an 3 Belgian bouses. In anticipation of high, prices, and in view of the good prices recently realised at Napier, farmers are nndterstood to have placed somewhat ■heavy reserves upon the wool, more, probably, than the business-may warTant. For tip-top lines good prices are likely to be realised to-morrow, and 1 low grattee will show a marked improvement in sympathy ; but it is considered to be doubtful if me latter qualities will in every case reach tn*. reserves, which in some instances are ~- fixed at from 7d to 9d for lines that may not command those prices.
