In the first spell, the Midlands scored a try wEch, how_ ever, was not converted. The Mid-* landers maintained a strong attack throughout the second spell, and secured two more tries, both of which were converted, and finally added a penalty goal. For the Wallabies, Burge scored a try, Carmichael adding the major points. The Midland Counties thus won by 16 points to 5.
