BOROUGH DRAINAGE.

TO THE EDITOR OP THB STAn. Sir,— -Allow me to take this opportunity of enquiring what the Council intend doing ro the matter of diverting the waters of the creek that passes through so many properties in Denbigh, Camden, Beattie, and other streets in the borough ? Seeing that they (tho Council) are spending the large sum of over £1000 to benefit one section of the community, surely another section of the community, similarly affected, should be treated alike. If the Council can see their way cMar to find over £1000 to cut the North street drain, surely they could find another £200 or so to alter the course of the other creek, especially seeing that the latter iis a greater public and private nuisance than the one they are paying so much attention to. Trusting that the Council will, at no far distant date, call tenders to jarry out balance of their drain cutting duties. — I am, etc., Faib Play.
