Tho Automobile Club of Australia held a successful Motor Racing Carnival at tho Victoria Park Racocourse, Sydney-, on Saturday, tho Bth of this month. Tho carnival (says the Sydney Mail) created unusual interest and succeeded in attracting about 8000 spectators. Mr Gordon Dixon's 25 h.p. Talbot succeeded in winning tho gold medal and tho coveted championship, of Australia, beating all other cars of much greater horse power. The touring iaco for cars from 10 to 15 horse-power- was won by Mr Phizackerley's 10-12, 2 cylinder Talbot. beating other four cylinder cars of greater horse power.. Tho rare for cars from 15 to 20 horse power resulted in a win for Dr. { O'Kecfe's 15 h.p. 4 cylinder Talbot. This was a very exciting race between first and second. The Talbot eventually won by 1-50 yards. The same distance separated tho second and third. This particular typo of car is said to be the most popular in Australia.
