This sttaement is made by the Mayor in reply to anonymous assertions regarding the above points made in various newspapers in the coSoniy. The signatories wfoo support the Mayor inducfe w-eJI-known medical men and solicitors and leading evangelical ministers, most of the wholesale merchants, all the newspaper proprietors, many educational authorities and a representative list of every branch of civil and commercial life.
