THE GROG SHOP TO BE RIGOROUSLY CLOSED. KENNARD SENT TO GAOL. [peb press association.] Mangaweka, March 26. James Kennard, boardinghousekecper, charged with sly grog-selling at Utiku, was sentenced to ono month's hard labour on each of two charges, the sentences to run concurrently. The Magistrate, Mr Thomson, intimated that the Court was determined to put this traffic down. Fines were of no avail, and these cases were becoming very serious. B—BM— ■—
