The Now Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report: — At Rangiwahia, on Tuesday, there was a good yarding of sheep and a small one of cattle came forward. The bidding for sbeep was fairly good, and of the number for ward a large proportion were sold. Two-tooth wethers 10s 2d, lis 6d, 12s, 12s 9d ; mixed lambs 5s 4d, 6s 7d; culls, 2s; mixed ages ewes, 7s; store cows, £1 4s, £1, 30s ; milch cows, to £2 10s ; mixed weaners, 12s 6d; weaner heifers, 9s Gd. Mr J. Red's clearing sale was held on Wednesday, when there was a fair attendance of buyers. Ewe lambs 5s 6d ; wether lambs, os 6d ; f.f.m. ewes 8s 6d to 9s: 4 and 6-tooth ewes, 12s 71d; 2-tooth ewes, 12s 6d; 2-tooth wethers, 10s; culls, 8s 6d; 2 and 3year steers, £3 9s ; 18-month to 2-year steers, 38s ; 2-J-year empty heifers, £2 2s 6d. At ' Palnierston North yesterday we had a good entry of both sheep, and cattle. Buyers were present and a good salo resulted. We quote: — Sheep: Two-tooth (good) 15s 3d; 2 and 4-tooth ewes, 13s lld ; 2, 4 and 6tooth ewes, 12s 3d; 4-year ewes, 12s 6d to 12s 9d; Lincoln rams, 2£gs; Romney rams, 2Jgs. Cattle: Yearling heifers, 14s 6d; yearling steers, 19s 6d ; store coivs, 20s to 31s ; weaners, 8s 6d ; forward cows, £2 7s to £2 8s; 3-year steers, £3 16s; forward bullocks, £5 los; bulls, 355. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having a' medium yarding of both sheep and cattle at their Palmerston North salo on Thursday, all of which met with a fair demand at following prices: — 4-6 and f.f.m. ewes 15s id, s.m. ewes Bs, 2-tooth wetbers, small 10s, black-faced lambs ss, cull Jambs 3s 2d, aged Lincoln rams 1 guinea, 2tooth Southdown rams 3-Jgns, weaner steers and iheifers 19s, empty cows 34s to 365, vealers 20s, store cows 17s, bulls £2 15s, 3-J-year forward bullocks £5 19s 6d, 4-year forward bullocks £4 15s. 0 Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report : — At Palmerston on Thursday a good demand existed for all classes of stock and with the exception of one pen of store wethers a clearance was made at satisfactory prices.
