Mr Newton King reports:— At Rahotu there was a good yarding, and nearly everything was sold either at the hammer or privately. Weaners made 8s 6d to 11s 6d, 2 to 2i-year steers £3 Bs, store cows 30s to 455, forward cows £2 12s to £3, fat cows £3 15s, bulls £2 5s to £2 11s. At Stony River bidding was quiet Most lines were quitted at prices ir. favour of buyers. Weaners made 8s to 14s, 15-month steers 31s 6d, 2year steers £2 17s, 2-year heifers ir calf ~2 6s to £2 10s, store cows £1 to 355, forward cows £2 10s to £3 6s, bulls £2 7s to £4 12s. At Waiwakaiho weaners made 7s 6d to 14s 6d, 18-month heifers 25s tc 30s, springers £3 to £4. Three choice Jersey springers from Mr Wm, Peattie made £6 ss. Store cows24e to 355, forward cows £2 12s to £3 Is. fat cows £4 17s.
