Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report on their Pahiatua sale as follows: More sheep came forward than were advertised. Bidding was fairly brisk for wethers and good ewes. There was a small yarding of cattle, for which there was a poor demand. We 1 quote : 4-tooth wethers 12s 2d ; 2-th wethers 10s 6d; very small wethers 7s; 2-th ewes, to 12s 4d ; s.m. ewes os to 8s 7d ; cull ewes, 4s 8d to 5s d ; Lincoln rams, 2-th, to sgus ; 2-th llomney rams, to 3£gns; aged rams, to lgn. Abraham and Williams report on their Marton sale as follows: We yarded some 10,000 sheep, the majority of which were sold under the hammer. There was brisk bidding for good quality lambs and young sheep of all sorts. We quote: Good lambs, 6s to s; others, Is 3d to 4s Id; 2-th wethers, lls 3d to 12s lOd; 2-th ewes, 14s 8d; mixed age ewes, 9s to 13s ; s.m. ewes, 5s to 6s 6d; f.m. ewes, 2s to 4s d ; fat ewes, 12s to 12s 6d ; fat cows, £3 15s to £3 17s 6d ; fat, light bullocks, £4 15s. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report on their Marton sale : We had a good entry of sheep and a good demand for all young classes. Quotations: Boilers, 2s 2d to 2s 4d ; cull lambs, Is 6d, le lOd, to 2s sd; wether lambs, 8s; Romney rams, 245; potters, 6s 6d ; fat and forward ewes and wethers 12s Id ; 2-th wethers, lls d ; s.m. ewes 9s sd; Lincoln rams, l£gns; fat and forward ewes, 10s 3d. A good clearance was effected .
