NOTE.— The Auctioneers wish to draw particular attention to the above sale. Mr Standen's herd is well-known all over the North Island and cows from this herd have taken prizes at Palmerston North, Hawke's Bay, Masterton, Carterton, Wanganui, and Feilding Shows. "Princess May" has an unbeaten record at all these Shows. Included among the number to be offered are "Peeress," "Petulance," and "Princess Royal," daughters of "Princess May" ; "Rhenna," 2nd to "Princess May at last Palmerston Show; "Favourite," prize-winner at Hawke's Bay; "Violet," Ist at Palmerston and Wanganui; "Humility," several times champion; four 2-year heifers bred by the veteran breeder, W. Cowan, of Oamaru; four 2-year heifers, bred by late D. McGregor, Timaru. The whole herd averaged £12 10s last season for butter fat alone. The pigs are from the latest imported blood from England.
