At a meeting of the Otago Rugby Football Union to-night, reference was made to the accident in the Uni-versity-Alhambra football match on June Bth, when Adams was seriously injured as a result of being tackled by Given, captain of the Alhambras. The referee stated that he was perfectly satisfied there was no unfair Or unnecessarily rough play on GivWs part. In view of this it was decided to proceed no further with the inquiry, and Given was completely exonerated.
